Equity futures are treading water this morning — /ES is flat at 7597.25 after briefly touching 7628.25 overnight — while NVDA is surging 4.83% pre-market to 226.92, comfortably clearing its prior session high of 224.87. The broad tape, however, isn't following: SPY is essentially unchanged at 756.96, sitting in the narrow channel between its put wall at 756 and call wall at 760.
Gold is quietly outperforming, up 0.73% to 414.31, while crude oil is pressing session lows at 91.23. VIX has ticked up 2.02% to 16.15 on no major catalyst, and 0DTE activity accounts for a striking 70.1% of SPY volume. Today's 10:00 ET JOLTs print is the data event most likely to move the tape — consensus at 6.88M versus prior 6.866M — and the distance to key gamma walls is thin enough that a surprise in either direction could matter.
GEX walls are price levels where dealers hedge aggressively. Price tends to gravitate toward Max Pain and stall near walls.
